Coating technology

Functional surfaces are the key to new products and efficient technologies. With our modern coating systems, we can use standardised coating processes to modify the surface properties of your products specifically for application-specific requirements.

If you have special requirements, please contact us. Our staff will be happy to advise you.

We offer the following coating systems:

Wear- and friction-reducing, anti-adhesive and corrosion-protection coatings

Hard coatings:
e.g. c-BN, TiN, TiC (reactive plasma sputtering), as well as diamond-like carbon coatings (DLC) and SiC (PECVD)

Friction-reducing coatings:
e.g. metal-doped a-C:H coatings (PECVD)

Anti-adhesive coatings:
surfaces with defined surface energy based on amorphous carbon coatings (a-C:H and a-C:H:Si) or SiC and Si3N4 (PECVD)

Electrically functional coatings and barrier coatings

Sensor functional coatings:
e.g. Pd and Pd alloys, Pt, Ni, Au, Ag, SnO2, CuO, carbon nanotube (CNT)-based functional coatings

Electrical functional coatings:
electroplated Au coatings, TiN coatings (plasma sputtering), carbon-based coatings, as well as Si3N4:TiN multilayers with defined conductivity

Barrier coatings:
Al2O3, SiO2, Si3N4 (reactive plasma sputtering)

Coatings for medical technology applications

Biocompatible surfaces:
based on DLC or SiC, amorphous carbon-based coatings that are fully biocompatible

Antibacterial surfaces:
metal-doped DLC coatings (antibacterial effect through Ag or Cu), especially on flexible substrates such as plastic parts, tubing and catheters

Coatings on flexible substrates:
adapted elastic properties through Si/SiC/DLC gradient layers or ultra-thin coating systems, stress reduction of DLC coatings through SiOx doping

We can also pre-treat surfaces by sandblasting, grinding or polishing.
